Incoming Students

Department of Political Science and International Relations welcomes a great number of international students every year.

Once the students are chosen as a candidate for Erasmus+ student mobility for Marmara University, their home institutions should nominate them by sending an email to our Office for International Relations and Academic Cooperation via erasmus.incoming@marmara.edu.tr email address. After the nomination is approved by our institution, the incoming students should start their application procedure. The Faculty of Political Science has four different departmennts with five programs. These are Political Science and International Relations 100% English Programme, Political Science and Public Administration 100% French Programme, Political Science and Public Administration 30% English Programme, International Relations 30% English Programme and Local Governments 100% Turkish Programme. In order to figure out which department you are nominated to, you need to check the affliated department of your regisrtration consultant at Marmara University, whose name is written in your bys system registration page or on the upper right part of your acceptance letters. Your consultant will be the person authorized to approve your courses in the registration page and finalize your registration, along with the International Office at Göztepe Campus.

The courses provided by our department (Political Science and International Realtions) have a course code starting with "PSIR". If you are a graduate student, please click Fall or Spring for a representative list of graduate courses in the Fall or Spring terms provided by Social Sciences Institute. Please note that these courses are taken from the course schedules of earlier academic years and are posted here for the sole purpose of giving an idea to our incoming students. Therefore, the courses in these lists may vary from year to year. Please note that name of the course indicates the language of instruction of the course. For instance, courses with a Turkish name will be instructed in Turkish langauge and those with an English name will be held in English language.

In the early weeks of each term, our students are provided with a second chance to get access to the course registration system and revise their course plan which is called add-drop period. Add-drop periods are announced in the academic calender.

Incoming students should consult the departmental Erasmus team via psirerasmus@marmara.edu.tr whenever they have a problem about the courses, registration or any other departmental affair.

Every year our department organizes an Eramus+ orientation meeting in the first or second week of the Academic year. The location and the date of orientation meeting is sent to incoming students via psirerasmus@marmara.edu.tr
